British asset manager Investec Wealth & Investment has hired senior staff this week as part of a number of new appointments.

Investec Wealth & Investments has appointed Mark Wright as Chief Entrepreneur within its Private Office.

The appointment is the latest in a string of new hires as Investec expands its team of experts working with high net worth clients within its private offices, the company said in a statement. In addition, we are strengthening our team of investment managers and financial planners in all regional offices of our core wealth management business.

Mr. Wright has over 12 years of experience in the investment management field. He spent most of his time at Barclays in a variety of roles, most recently as senior private banker for the ultra-high net worth, leading Barclays Private Bank’s Midlands region, the company continued. Prior to that, he was a private banker for major clients and family offices based in London. He started his career at Goldman Sachs as sales manager in the securities division, with a focus on his equities and equity derivatives.
