Investec Hires Head of Entrepreneurship

Investec Wealth & Investment has announced the appointment of Mark Wright as Chief Entrepreneur within its Private Office.

The international bank and asset manager said the hiring is part of an effort to expand its team of experts working with high net worth clients within its private office division.

In addition, Investec is expanding its team of investment managers and financial planners across all regional offices.

Mr. Wright has over 12 years of experience in investment management, most recently leading Barclays Private Bank’s Midlands region as Senior Private Banker for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) before joining Investec. bottom.

He started his career at Goldman Sachs as a sales manager analyst in the securities division, with a focus on equities and equity derivatives.

In April 2023, Rathbone’s Group and Investec Wealth and Investment merged to create a ‘major’ UK discretionary asset manager with around £100bn of funds under management.

Under the terms of the transaction, the new Rathbone shares will be issued in exchange for 100% of the share capital of Investec Wealth and Investments UK.
