The main event of WWE Backlash 2023 ended with a bloody, shocked Brock Lesnar and an accidental Cody Rhodes finally defeating The Beast. This was his one of the hottest premium live events ever, and the crowd turned out better than you could imagine.
Now that Backlash 2023 is over, Cody Rhodes may resume his road to glory as he seeks a rematch with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. So what’s next for Brock Lesnar? Let’s take a look at his five options for beast incarnation after losing in Puerto Rico.
#Five.Free agent Brock Lesnar goes to SmackDown to resume rivalry with Bobby Lashley
According to WWE Draft 2023, Almighty is working under the Blue Brand roster, and since Beast is a free agent, he is free to go wherever he pleases.
If Brock Lesnar chooses to go to SmackDown, his rivalry with Bobby Lashley ended abruptly in the Elimination Chamber so he can resume it. Before that, Lesnar and Lashley had several matches, both coming out victorious. But it never came to a true conclusion for either superstar.
Both giants would be hungry for redemption, with Lashley losing to Austin Theory and Lesnar losing to Cody Rhodes at Backlash. Even if you don’t get to rematch your Backlash 2023 opponents, feuding with each other may channel your inner demons.
Plus, rekindling their rivalry seems like a reasonable idea!
#Four. Stay RAW and attack Cody Rhodes.
American Nightmare defeating the Beast Incarnate at Backlash 2023 was personal for both of them. Rhodes had to make sure he kept his word that he could kill the Beast, but Lesnar wanted Rhodes to eat his word.
Unfortunately for Lesnar, Cody Rhodes denied the right to be a predator on Backlash 2023.
Plus, Brock Lesnar isn’t one to take defeat kindly, and could unleash his most violent side to go berserk on Cody Rhodes!
However, if his feud with Cody Rhodes continues, it seems unlikely that American Nightmare will rematch Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the near future.
#3.Take a break and return to Money in the Bank
It’s no surprise that Money in the Bank has its own surprises. Anything can happen, including the return of some megastars.
In fact, surprise returns at MITB are nothing new, considering Brock Lesnar was a surprise attendee in 2019 and also won a briefcase.
Now, with The Beast taking a break following Backlash 2023, it probably wouldn’t be too surprising to see them return for Money in the Bank.
Of course, some fans would be frustrated if Brock Lesnar took the final win at MITB.
#2.Aiming for the New World Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar will not be one of the contenders for the new World Heavyweight Championship. However, when a champion is crowned in the Night of Champions, he can make himself known to the final winner.
Now Triple H has announced that qualifying rounds for the last two contenders for the title will begin on Monday night’s RAW and continue on Friday night’s SmackDown. Interestingly, HHH has announced that the new World Heavyweight Championship will be exclusive to him on RAW, but SmackDown superstars are also eligible for the title.
According to WWE producers, the title was announced before the draft, so all superstars are eligible.
#1.Brock Lesnar retires
Beast has had a long professional wrestling career with its ups and downs. He has provided his WWE Universe with some of the best thrillers in the match, has a fresh promo and has been a great asset to the industry.
Brock Lesnar has talked about retirement before, and has said he will one day. After defeating Cody Rhodes and following Backlash 2023, he could consider leaving the industry!
Beast always talked about being a farmer and living a quiet life after retirement. Although he already owns a farm, he can start working as a full-time farmer given his circumstances.
