  1. The City of Dunedin’s Sunset Music Series kicks off on Friday 5th May between 7pm and 9pm at Weaver Park. Grab a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy the sounds of blues and soul group The Charlie Morris Band. Watch the sunset from the coastline at this free event every Friday in May.   2. The City of Dunedin offers swimming lessons for toddlers and children at the Highlander Pool. Sessions will begin on May 15th and will continue throughout the summer. Register your child online here For a session containing 6 classes from Monday to Monday Wednesday. Classes are held at various times from 4:30pm to 6:00pm (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
  3. The Dunedin Public Library will host a retirement tax seminar on May 3rd for those interested in learning more about the impact of taxes on your retirement income. The seminar will provide guests with the latest information on retirement taxes. Participants will be better positioned to develop a successful retirement tax strategy that may protect you from being overtaxed. There are two time slots for today’s seminar, 11am-noon and 6-7pm.   • The City of Dunedin shared that residents of Lakewood Estate may experience delays in garbage, recycling and yard waste collection due to ongoing labor shortages. City officials are working longer shifts to maintain normal schedules, but expect occasional service interruptions. Residents who do not pick up their trash on the designated collection date must store everything outdoors until it is collected. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
  • SPCA Tampa Bay Shelter is waiving adoption fees during “May the Pocket Pets Be With You” adoption events. Adopt pocket pets such as birds, rabbits and guinea pigs for free. (WLFA)
